Dahlquist, Inc. was established in 1997 by Larry & Thomas Dahlquist. Larry’s father had his own HVAC business based out of DeKalb, IL. After high school, Larry decided to make a full time career in HVAC by working for a commercial contractor in DeKalb, IL. and continuing his education by attending classes that improved his skills in this industry. Larry then worked for a company called Oehlert Heating & Cooling located in Sycamore, IL. where he was the head sheet metal fabricator. In 1997 Larry had the opportunity to purchase the company that is now Dahlquist, Inc. along side his son Thomas Dahlquist.
Dahlquist, Inc. outgrew its location on Coltonville Rd in 2002, the business is now located at 994 Crosby Avenue, Sycamore, Il. This location has more than doubled our offices, fabrication work area and warehouse. We are now able to stock over $46,000 in service repair parts and have a grand inventory of new equipment. In 2012 Dahlquist, Inc. expanded its facilities once more and added a gas fireplace showroom and continues to educate its employees to further their knowledge in the HVAC industry.
Shelley Smith started back in 1996 with Oehlert’s and stayed on as Office Manager with Dahlquist, Inc when they took over in 1997. Throughout the years many customers became familiar with Shelley calling each season to schedule work as well as becoming a familair face within the local community over the past twenty years. With her knowledge of helping operate the business, excellent customer service skills and human resources Shelley along with her husband Johnnie Smith purchased Dahlquist, Inc. (Smith-Dahlquist, Inc.) April of 2016 from Thomas Dahlquist when he decided to retire from the industry.
We have a dedicated team of Service Technicians on staff to offer 24hr EMERGENCY SERVICES and also maintained all employees on staff, some of which have been with the company for 10-20 years. Thank you for the continued support and business!
